About
I am an effective tutor with nine years experience working in primary schools. I am patient and friendly and have a good rapport with children, whose company I greatly enjoy.

My purpose is to increase a child’s enjoyment, achievement and participation in school by building their confidence and skills. This is achieved through lively, interactive tutorials, where the child is encouraged to enjoy and take pride in their learning.

Each session is rigorously planned around the needs and progression of the child, ensuring that they understand basic principles and methods before moving on to more advanced topics.

I use games to build confidence, memory and strategic thinking.
I have experience of working with children with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ASD, ADHD and speech/language difficulties.

I am DBS checked.

Includes phonics, reading, comprehension, spelling/grammar, handwriting and creative writing.
Primary Maths
KS1 and KS2
Focuses on fluency and mathematical reasoning.
11+
Maths, English, verbal, spatial and non-verbal reasoning.
Includes curriculum knowledge, accuracy, speed and exam technique.

10 hours individual

Ten 1 hour sessions of maths, English or 11+ tuition. Payable in advance.
Includes a free stationery pack including exercise books, pens and whiteboard.
1 hour group
£20
One hour of maths, English or 11+ tuition for 2 or 3 children of similar age and ability. Price is per child.
10 hours group
£150

Handwriting Workshops
Does your child need help in writing quickly and legibly? Then small-group handwriting workshops may be the answer. Every Tuesday from 5.00-5.30 pm with each child working at their own pace. We focus on correct letter formation, posture, grip, pressure, height, spacing and speed. Suitable for all year groups from 3-6. It is a back-to-basics course in a peaceful, mindful atmosphere. Next course starts on 23 April 2024..

Small group workshops for students taking the 11+ in September 2024
5.00-6.00 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

To include revision of key topics and practice papers.
